Since 1999, MRW Projects has designed, developed and constructed filling stations from tender to key handover — with every trade, from earthworks to underground pump and tank work, delivered in-house.
MRW Projects was founded in 1999 to service filling station retail maintenance, by Mark Webb, Albert Sihlangu and Quniso Motha.
In 2003, Wayne and Nicholas Webb joined the business after completing their BSc (Hons) in Construction Management at the University of the Witwatersrand, setting out to grow MRW into a recognised contractor across every brand in the fuels retail network.
Every project — from tender inception to key handover — is owned by an appointed project manager or project director, backed by five senior, standalone construction teams able to run five independent developments at once.

Earthworks & civils brought in-house; first turnkey solutions delivered.
Underground pump and tank services added in-house, giving full control of KDR and NTI programming.
108 filling stations completed, with a 75-strong permanent team across three offices.
We don't subcontract wet works or finishing trades — bricklayers, carpenters, tilers and plasterers are all MRW employees, many with 15 years on the team. That's what lets us control programme, quality and cost from tender to handover.
Every project is led by a dedicated project manager or director — Nicholas and Wayne Webb both hold BSc (Hons) Construction Management degrees from Wits, circa 2003.
Bricklayers, concrete charge hands, carpenters, tilers, painters and plasterers are all MRW employees — many with 15 years' tenure — not subcontractors.
Brought in-house in 2008. Where competitors subcontract this element, we execute it ourselves for a sharper price and tighter control of programme and quality.
Underground pump and tank installation added in 2017, removing a common cause of site delays and giving us control of the full KDR and NTI programme.
An in-house drawing office and surveying team react quickly to site requirements and design innovative solutions for every site.
MRW is an Intrasafe affiliate and corporate member of Saiosh, certifying us to deliver recognised, in-house health and safety training.
Delivering turnkey projects since 2008 — from land and licensing through to a completed, trading filling station — as a single point of accountability for the client.
We're not reliant on the market to build capacity. Once terms are agreed, we can start fast and meet deadlines quicker than competitors who need to source subcontractors.
Without a subcontracted middleman to pay on wet works, earthworks, civils or pump and tank installs, we stay financially more competitive on every tender.
Our Intrasafe and Saiosh affiliations keep us closely tuned to industry safety requirements — clients regularly bring us in to consult on projects and site situations.
Over the years we've extended into Quick Service Restaurants and residential developments, though the fuels retail network remains our specialty.

Earthworks and structural trades are ours in-house — here's a site moving from first slab to top floor.
From humble beginnings over 20 years ago, every site below is either a full new-build or a complete knock-down and rebuild of an existing service station.
